You know I don't normally swatch collections.  I'm far too lazy and unmotivated.  But, I felt the need to swatch the Wet 'N Wild Color Icon Ice Ice Baby collection this evening, so I had to go with it!

 All swatches are shown over one coat of Wet 'N Wild Black Pearl ('cause that's how I roll) and I did use top coat on all of them because they go really dull without it.  Oh!  And I only used one coat of each of the glitters over the black.

 Look at all the teensy tiny hairy glitter!!

 More delicate bar glitter.  I am a happy camper here.

 I was lucky enough to find these at Walgreens last week after checking only two stores!  That pretty much never happens to me.

 It's All In The Cut might be my favorite from the collection, but gosh it's hard to just pick one!

 This pretty one is very similar to Hello Kitty Silver Star.  They are not dead on dupes, though.

 Diamond In The Rough has more large pieces of glitter and it's more opaque looking over all.

 Lobster hand much?

 Cost Is No Issue is really opaque in just one coat, as you can see.  It nearly covers the black base.

 Several of these are obvious dupes or near dupes to Nails Inc. Special Effects polishes.

 I'm more than happy to have both!

 By this point I was definitely feeling loopy from fumes.

 I was also trying to hurry before the sun disappeared!

The other day I was thinking about my favorite vampy colors, and I remembered Dior Purple Revolution.

I was looking for it on my blog, here, but couldn't find it. What the heck?

I forgot all about it but then remembered again tonight. I searched through old photo albums and finally found it! Along with it, I found this situation that you are looking at right now.

What is it, you ask? Milani Blue Flash topped with Sephora by OPI Flurry Up!

This is from December of last year!! Oh me. Oh my. I do not know what happened that I forgot to post this before. (As an aside, I did search fairly good for this and also the Dior Purple Revolution mani on DizzyNails, with no luck - but if by some crazy chance they already got posted and I just couldn't find them, then consider this just a beautiful encore!)

How cute is this?! Seriously. So cute.

Oh, you wanted to see that Dior I was talking about? The one that I love so very much? Here she is.

Two utterly glorious coats of Dior Purple Revolution 906.

It practically applied itself, and look how pretty it is!!

Almost black, I know. A weakness of mine. I believe, if my memory serves me right, that this was a Sephora exclusive color from last winter.

Remember Wet 'N Wild Blitzen from last winter? Oh, you don't? Well, it was super cute, so I put it over the Dior. Here it is!

The blinginess here borders on obnoxious.

And my wee little baby nubs. I kind of miss them, honestly.

I always feel like my long-ish nails get in the way. But I suppose there are good things and bad things about having long and short nails.

I'm in the mood to crank out these last few posts that will officially catch me up to real time! The goal is to actually post pictures of the manis that I'm currently wearing at the time. Cheer me on, Nation, I'm going to go for it!! (I love to throw around the word "Nation," because I just adore Stephen Colbert and he says it all the time on his show).

This is two coats of $OPI Looks Like Rain, Dear with a coat of W&W Prancer over top.

Looks Like Rain, Dear, is very similar to last year's Worth My Weight, only it's lighter and paler. It was a bit thick and I had to thin it by the second coat.

I love all the glitter and holo. I debated a long time what to put over top of Looks Like Rain, Dear. Prancer ended up being perfect.

The red glitter makes me think of Christmas Tree ornaments/balls.

I wanted to try a green glitter over this, but I'm really glad I went with the red. I think the green could have easily looked pukey or strange.

I wasn't sure if I was even going to post these pictures, but figured, why not? I started with three coats of Shades by Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast and then did two coats of Wet 'N Wild Prancer.

Jess' Champagne Toast is a frosty lilac that looks silvery gray in some lights. It also has an almost duochrome quality in the bottle, looking pink, purple, blue, and silver all at once. There is lots of pink micro glitter in it which is very pretty.

The problem is that Jess' Champagne Toast looks a little lumpy on. It's also very frosty, which I knew it would be, yet I still imagined it could be more spectacular on the nail, if that makes sense. Wet 'N Wild Prancer is awesome, but I had some difficulty with glitter placement using two rather thick coats. I could have placed the larger pieces with a toothpick, but it would have been a lot of work that I was trying to avoid! I still think it's really fun, I just wish it had a higher ratio of glitter bits to clear base. Also, the bottle is itty bitty tiny.

It's been so long since I've posted! My vacation is officially drawing to a close. It's a little startling to think of having to rejoin the real world (work!). But more work = more money and more money = more nail polish!! :D (Always a silver lining.)

The first pictures are of Illamasqua Velocity with Boo! layered on top. I did two coats of Boo!, which is tiny specks of purple, blue, and pink glitter in clear polish. Velocity is a lovely, slightly dusty, but still very obviously purple creme. In real life, compared to the bottle shown just below, Velocity is just a little cooler, I'd say.

My nails were such nubs then!

Boo! is a layering polish, in my opinion. You could probably get it close to opaque in four or five coats, but I'm thinking it's going to look best over other colors.

Next up is OPI Smitten with Mittens layered below Wet 'N Wild Fantasy Makers Magical.

The photo above might as well serve as a reminder to all pool owners who have neglected their proper chemical balance! The pool was quite GREEN then. Oh man. My husband has since fixed the chemicals, it's back to blue, and I even got to sit in the hot tub the other night. Oo so nice!!

Got a little side-tracked there. Sorry. Smitten with Mittens is from OPI's Holiday 2009 collection. It's a gorgeous glowing neutral/cool red with depth and shimmer.

The shimmer in the polish is sort of golden so I decided to amp it up with the Magical gold and orange glitter. It's so fabulous, don't you think?!

This was a mani I wore just prior to and through Christmas.

In many of these pictures the red looks warmer than it is. I think it's partly due to the fact that I took these pictures in the warm golden light just before sundown. Below is a scary flash picture in front of the green pool water!

This picture is more accurate, color wise.

And here is a picture of my precious dogs. They were all snuggled up close to each other on the couch, looking so adorable. I took a bunch of pictures, so maybe I'll post a few more later on.

Georgia, 2, is being her nosy self on the left. Varekai, 7, is looking so innocent on the right.

I can hardly believe that I have 99 followers now! I just want to thank you all so, so much for taking the time to check in with my lil' blog. I have lots of good things in store for this year, so I hope you'll continue to enjoy DizzyNails. My best bud, who just went home yesterday, has organized my polish collection into three Helmers that my husband got me for Christmas. I think I have been in denial about how large my collection is until now! Folks, I have a lot of polish. :) I will take and post some stash pictures for you all soon. And believe you me, I have a lot of swatching of untrieds to do!
