These are two sad, sad pictures of a polish I really love:  NerdLacquer It's Just a Flesh Wound.  I used two coats of polish and finished with three - that's right - three coats of BB Couture for Nails Top-Rock.  It's tragically bumpy and lumpy, although, at least, in some types of light it wasn't as apparent as it is here.

First off, I found the polish to be slightly less amazing on the nail as it is in the bottle - probably because the black is so opaque (normally a really good thing).  If I had it to do over again, I would layer a coat of IJaFW over Boosh.  And, if that didn't do the trick, I might wait until the polish dried and then very lightly graze over the tops with a felt pad and remover to reveal more of the glitters.  All that said, I do still adore this combination and loved how it looked on.

What you can't see well here is all the tiny delicate shimmer that is in this polish!  SO MUCH.  So gorgeous.  And why, you ask, did I decide to use BB Couture Top-Rock over this one?  I don't even know.  I was rummaging in my drawers for a new bottle of Gelous and didn't find one.  I did find two new bottles of Top-Rock, though, so I thought I'd give it a whirl.  It did dry relatively fast (not SV fast, though) and is extremely shiny.  Just couldn't handle the glitter and shimmers, though.  Also, I had bad chipping in under 24, so I'm gonna have to blame the poor BBC top coat for that, as well.

 Here is two coats of NerdLacquer Event Horizon.

 This polish is super awesome and was easy to apply.  It reminds me of a smaller glittered version of Lippmann's Across the Universe.

 I recently wore this combination:  NerdLacquer I Aim to Misbehave with Lynnderella Liquid Valentine.

 I started with two coats of I Aim to Misbehave.  Then I added one coat of Lynnderella's Liquid Valentine.

 I had a horrible time using Glitter Tamer (which has happened to me before), so I ultimately did not wear this for long at all.  As it was drying more fully, there were very noticeable streak marks.  :(

 I'm not exactly sure why this happens and why only sometimes, but I know I am not alone in finding Glitter Tamer very tricky to work with.  It is awesome for lots of people, though, so I'm not knocking it.  I just think for my own sanity, I should be using it much less (if at all!).

 At least I managed to get these beautiful pictures before everything went yucko!  :)  I think the two polishes looked so perfect together.

 Here are some indoor pictures of I Aim to Misbehave all by itself, two coats with top coat.  It's a top coat hungry glitter, but so ridiculously pretty and complex.  The thing that surprised me about this one is how it's amazingly complicated and enchanting to look at yet so seemingly simple, all at the same time!

 Just look at everything going on in that bottle.  It's a crazy mess of wonderful glitters and shimmers.  I think it ends up looking slightly more plummy on the nail where it seems a bit more maroon in the bottle.

It's absolutely lovely to look at and wear.  I highly recommend NerdLacquer!  Color me obsessed.  I must continue to have them all.

 Truth be told, I wore this manicure about two weeks ago.

 I started with two coats of Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Satin.

 Satin is a slightly pearly (I almost say frosty, but that's not the best word for it) light peachy pink color. The brush is quite large, which is not my favorite, but I made it work.

 Then I added the magic!  Two coats of Lynnderella's very special Liquid Valentine.

 Liquid Valentine has tons of beautiful tiny blue shimmers and then various sizes and shapes of red, pink, purple, and holo glitters.  I think there is silver, too...it's hard to tell/remember!  :)

 I love the hearts, diamonds, and squares.  Heck, I love it ALL.

 I didn't even have to fish out the hearts, so that was pretty awesome.

 I was thrilled to receive this polish as a gift from the wonderfully talented Lynn.  Thank you so very, very much, Lynn!  You continue to amaze me with your insanely beautiful, fun, and funky works of art.

 I started with two coats of OPI Save Me.  Then I added a coat of Lynnderella Boy-Girl Party, because, why the heck not?!

 Well, let me go back...because after Save Me, I used a coat of Glitter Tamer and a coat of Poshe.

 Then, a coat of Boy-Girl Party, followed by another coat of Glitter Tamer and Poshe.  It was actually quite smooth!

 It reminds me of fireworks and New Year's, which is not very creative thinking on my part.  My friend at work told me that it reminded her of "unicorn-ness," or something like that.  I was thrilled and much prefer her idea!  We both reminisced about loving unicorns, Rainbow Brite, and Punky Brewster as little kids.

This last picture is probably my favorite.  I wore this for a just over two glorious days and I was sad to take it off last night (it started chipping).  And you know what else?  Removal with my beloved scrubby tub was shockingly NOT atrocious or hard!  Major win!

 This mani took more time and patience than most do, however, I am well pleased with the results!

 I used three coats of Essie Marshmallow for my underwear.

 Next, I added one and a half coats of Lynnderella Sweets to the Sweet.  I say one and a half because several nails only need one coat but some others I dabbed on a bit more (up to two coats of it in total).

 I finished everything with two coats of Gelous and then a coat of Seche Vite.

 It was not perfectly glassy smooth, but still smooth enough for me to enjoy.  I actually did a close variation of this combo right before this mani and I had trouble that time around with the white glitters in Sweets to the Sweet bunching up on each other and in little heaps.  I would say that this polish requires more patience and skill in application than many glitters...but then again, this is so delightfully delicious that I am more than happy to put up with some glitter shenanigans!

It looks like tasty funfetti cupcakes and I definitely had a few friends telling me that they wanted to lick my nails!  :)

 This is what I'm currently wearing:  Zoya Ali with Lynnderella Connect the Dots.

 I used two coats of each polish and then followed it with Gelous and Seche Vite.

 I have to apologize because these pictures are terribly color inaccurate!  Ali is a tricky beast.  She is more pink than what it appears here, although not a true straight-up neon pink.  I'd call her neon salmon pink.  Almost coral, but not quite.

 The polish actuals appears more like what you see in the bottle above, in real life.

 I love this picture above (and below!) for showing more of the magnificent micro shimmer that is in the otherwise clear base of Connect the Dots.

 Yesterday at work, a more mature woman surprised me by telling me that she liked my nails.  :)

Heck yeah!  I love this.  I kind of have to restrain myself from wanting to use Connect the Dots over everything.  It's that good.

 This is two coats of Hare Heffalumps.

 Heffalumps are from Winnie the Pooh, of course (kind of like elephants), and I adore the Pooh reference here.  I love Winnie the Pooh and everything about it!

 The base is a beautiful fuchsia sort of jelly color and swimming inside are large hexes of blue, silver, and pink (I think).

 I'm not going to sugar coat this, Nation.  Application was a total bear.  The glitters kept bunching up and it was hard to control the spread of the jelly, if you get what I mean.  I needed three thick coats of top coat, as well, and even still, it wasn't totally smooth after it dried completely (it looks perfectly smooth in these pictures because they were taken right after I painted my nails).

It's so stinking gorgeous, though!  I love it!  Well worth the pain.  If you want to learn more about Hare polish, go to Nikole's tumblr here.

 Saturday night I had yet another painful round of manicure failures (two failures and then this success).  Yuuuuggggh!  I don't know what's going on with me lately.

 I'm glad I ended up with this, though.  It is SO lovely!

 I used one easy coat of a-england Camelot and then added a carefully worked coat of Lynnderella's Change.

 Change is an instant favorite for me.  I absolutely love the combination of colors and shapes.

 The sporadic red and lime bits really make this one superb!

 I had a little bit of smooshing on the ends of my middle and ring fingers (from my sheets!), but it was so barely noticeable.  This is good.  While I love Nails Inc. Kensington Caviar top coat for its shine and  durability, this just reminds me that it doesn't quite dry fast enough for what I would like.

Folks, I matted one nail before taking this off this morning, and while I was lame and did not take a picture, I can assure you that it looked really freaking cool!
