This is three coats of Dior's limited edition Silver Lake polish.

 I honestly only needed two coats, but did the third because I was feeling worried about one potential bald spot on a pinky nail.

 Silver Lake has really great multi-colored shimmer buried in it, not unlike Chanel's Graphite.  It's pretty hard to see in my pictures, though, and also in real life (you can see it a bit in the bottle below).  I like knowing that it's there, though!  Graphite is more golden toned, in case you were wondering.  I'm going to try and do a comparison before I change this mani.

 I kind of hate Dior's newer big, bushy, uneven brush.  It does work freakishly well on my ring fingers, though, which have more of a curve along the cuticle.

I like how it's kind of salt and peppered looking!  As far as I know, you can only get this one through Dior's website here.

The other day I was thinking about my favorite vampy colors, and I remembered Dior Purple Revolution.

I was looking for it on my blog, here, but couldn't find it. What the heck?

I forgot all about it but then remembered again tonight. I searched through old photo albums and finally found it! Along with it, I found this situation that you are looking at right now.

What is it, you ask? Milani Blue Flash topped with Sephora by OPI Flurry Up!

This is from December of last year!! Oh me. Oh my. I do not know what happened that I forgot to post this before. (As an aside, I did search fairly good for this and also the Dior Purple Revolution mani on DizzyNails, with no luck - but if by some crazy chance they already got posted and I just couldn't find them, then consider this just a beautiful encore!)

How cute is this?! Seriously. So cute.

Two utterly glorious coats of Dior Purple Revolution 906.

It practically applied itself, and look how pretty it is!!

Almost black, I know. A weakness of mine. I believe, if my memory serves me right, that this was a Sephora exclusive color from last winter.

Remember Wet 'N Wild Blitzen from last winter? Oh, you don't? Well, it was super cute, so I put it over the Dior. Here it is!

The blinginess here borders on obnoxious.

And my wee little baby nubs. I kind of miss them, honestly.

I always feel like my long-ish nails get in the way. But I suppose there are good things and bad things about having long and short nails.

I wore this a few days ago. I wanted to try out some of the OPI Pirates of the Caribbean polishes that I got last weekend. I started with two somewhat thick coats of Mermaid's Tears.

I only have indoor pictures of this because I did it at night...but you get the idea.

I added a coat of Dior Rock Coat for fun. This was my first time trying it, too.

Sadly, the brush on my Rock Coat is quite wonky and ridiculous, so I had a hell of a time with my application.

It ended up looking a little streaky, but overall I can see this having potential. Also, I didn't care much since I knew I would be putting Silver Shatter on top!

Now, for the finished mani. I added Silver Shatter.

Please pardon the sore spot on my pinky. My cuticles are looking sad, too, because I couldn't use cuticle remover due to sore spots! Vicious cycle. Note to self: stop nibbling on your cuticles!

I wasn't in love with the overall look, but it did grow on me after time. Maybe because I had just taken a little length off my nails I thought they looked very stubby and short with these polishes on! I have also decided that Shatter and Crackle can make my nails look and seem stubbier in general.

I don't normally wear a lot of golds, but I'm glad I got Dior Timeless Gold. This is two coats.

It's one of their Holiday 2010 colors.

I like that it's soft and cooler toned.

It applied very well, despite the big bushy brush!

Maybe I'll get used to the new brushes.

I bet this would be awesome with some glitter on top!

This season has brought several terrific ambiguous purply gray colors. Hooray, I say!! These are some big favorites for me. Not only do they look great with my skin tone, but they meet my need for a chic, unique purply color. Yes, I love my purples!

Here is Dior's Silver Purple. Clever name, right? It's soooo beautiful!

It's got a gunmetal gray base with a hint of purple and shimmer.

Next up is Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud. I have wanted this polish from the moment I first heard about it, which I might add was quite some time ago! I have not yet seen it in my area. Boo! I also gave up looking for it a few weeks ago when a most generous gal from MUA sent it to me out of the kindness of her heart, knowing that I was going bonkers trying to find it!

These flash pictures really pick up on the gorgeous lilac side of Opulent Cloud. It just makes me happy! Check out the subtle shimmah on the index finger and thumb below!

Now for pictures with fluorescent lighting. It shows much more golden soft gray.

The application was smooth and flawless. I am a big fan of the Sally Hansen HDs, from the buttery formula to the brush (which reminds me of a more narrow version of OPI's Pro-Wide).

If I ever see these in person I may have to pick up the red and pink in the fall line, as well as a back-up of OC! THANK YOU GINA!!!! xoxo

Here is a pink stunner from Dior, Garnet, which I believe is from the Spring '09 collection, limited edition for Macy's.  I got this months ago and only just a few days ago wore it for the first time.  Quite lovely!  

I couldn't leave well enough alone, of course.  I added a coat of OPI DS Shimmer!
