Color Club High Society. This is one from the new Rebel Debutante collection that Color Club graciously provided for me to review. I am hoping to review the other lovely shades soon. I've had a hard time finding sun to swatch on days when I'm not working! Example: today. Rainy and cloudy - so sad!

Three coats of High Society. This color is so cool and hard to describe. It has many moods and many sides! The application was excellent. It got a little thicker by the third coat, but was still easy enough to manage.

The first two pictures show the warm beigey side, which is easily evident in the early morning sun.

The pictures above is indoors and shows off the taupey mushroom side. I had worn it for a few days at this point, so forgive the tip wear, if you can.

The picture about captures a bit of my favorite side - the mauvey, purply gray side! When I chose the bottle to paint my nails with, I thought about how light the color looked. It definitely gets darker on the nail. It's still a pretty light taupe, but not as light as you'd think.

Someone where I work asked me if I was wearing the new Chanel, Particuliere. I didn't even realize that this was similar, but it sure is. $2 vs. $25 (or something like that), not a hard choice for me! Plus, I don't think of myself as a taupe lover, but this color really caught my eye and I have to say I loved wearing it. It's classy, soft, and different.

I super duper loved this manicure!!! Oh-my-gosh. Way HAWT. Can you even stand it?!

Let me tell you what it is! I did two coats of Rococo Gothic Lolita and one coat of Piggy Polish Sunshine on Snowflakes.

Rococo is a new to me brand that I found in San Francisco at N.K. Apothecary inside Bloomingdales. The sales associates there are AMAZING, by the way. The nicest girl ever GAVE me this polish because of a mishap that ended with me being unable to purchase it (I posess the tester). YAY!!! I'm so glad I have it.

It is absolutely stunning on its own, too. I would have taken pictures of it by itself but hesitated only because I put it on at night and tend to prefer daylight pictures (as I'm sure you know, if you normally read my ramblings).

I got a lot of compliments on this. Compliments are good, no? :)

Milani sent me Pink Rocks! from their new neons. I did three coats here and as you can see, it is a jelly polish, and never becomes completely opaque. The pictures I took are after two days of wear, so please ignore the slight scuffing and dullness.

It looked more pink at two coats, and at three, it became a really crazy shade of electric coral!

I think I would have liked this polish more if it was either a traditional neon pink color or if it was a creme. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but something about Pink Rocks! doesn't do it for me. The formula and application were excellent.

I'm sorry I wasn't able to capture outdoor photos of this one! I will say that the color on the previous two photos is quite accurate. I'm looking forward to trying more Milani neons in the future - particularly blue and purple.

I'm back from California! I got home late on Wednesday night. I slept on and off all day Thursday - I was exhausted and a bit jet-lagged. And I worked a long, busy day today. Oh my. I very much wish I had had time and energy to continue blogging while on my trip. I did some pretty sweet manis while there, but was just so super busy and stressed with work that I couldn't force myself to keep up with pictures and posts.

Needless to say, I am back, and I have TONS of awesome polish (not that I didn't already, but I have acquired bunches more in the time I was gone). I found "pa" brand japanese nail polish in Chinatown! I searched high and low for treasures and am so glad I succeeded. I also found a neat brand of polish called Rococo in a little N.K. Apothecary boutique inside Bloomingdales. I grabbed three cool looking ones (one of which looks very OPI MPJ-ish).

This is one of Milani's new holographic polishes, Hi-Res. I did three coats and it applied very well. No complaints whatsoever. I let it dry a couple of minutes between coats of the actual polish, just to make sure the holo had set and so I wouldn't get drag.

The sun did not come out to play today.

It's a nice chunky, rainbowy holo, similar to China Glaze Octa-Gone Wild.

The shade of purple reminds me of OPI Designer Series Original.

I love, love, love holographic polishes, and Hi-Res does not disappoint!! I'm excited to get more of these holographic Milanis - as soon I as I see them in person, in store, that is. :)
