Deep Water Green

This is the lovely Lancome Deep Water Green, a.k.a. Pop Petrol. I used two coats and it applied fabulously. Another score from my friend's trip to France! :)

I topped it with a coat of Cover Girl IceSlicks Anti-Freeze.

I'm really pleased with the end result.

So, naturally, I took a bazillion pictures.

It kind of makes me think of Van Gogh's Starry Night.

The next two, and last, photos were taken in late day sun in a different location. The polish looks much more black here.

I really love these Lancome polishes and hope to grow my selection of them. I picked up a pretty peachy, pinky, gold shimmer one from the outlet recently and it looks very nice - kind of reminds me of Nars Orgasm.

Back and Refreshed

Well, it's official. My summer vacation is over. It was really nice, though, so I'm very grateful for that!

This is two coats of Givenchy Island Palm. My friend got it for me while on vacation in France. It's my first Givenchy polish!

The bottle is little and really cute.

At first, I thought it was maybe your standard green frost, but then realized it has a very decent blue flash duochrome to it!

Yes, it's an unforgiving finish and you have to be very careful in applying it, but I still love it.

I think it's so pretty and fresh.

The actual polish, as I recall, was a bit thick. I think I added a little thinner for the second coat.

I still have a lot of catching up to do with my posts, so bear with me and hopefully I can crank it out in the next week or so! :)

My best friend and I counted my polish stash yesterday...yes we did. I have been wanting to for some time. What do you think? Any guesses?

We also re-organized my collection by color, which I'm super excited about! It was funny at times, trying to decide how to categorize certain very ambiguous colors (you know the ones I mean!). I have the most of blues. 271! I was kind of surprised by my seemingly smallish stash of reds (78) and blacks (35). I have a healthy 252 purples as well as 211 greens. Yeah, baby!!

Soooooo, the grand total at this moment......is......1,487. That is including minis and excluding treatments/base coats/top coats. That also excludes Konad stamping polishes and art polishes/stripers. I have four Ikea Helmers and I am happy to say I still have some room to grow. ;)

What do you think of my collection? How big is yours?

More Catch Up!

What a crazy, long, hard week! I'm glad it's over. I've been wanting to post for a long time, so I'm happy to finally be doing it. :)

This was two coats of Finger Paints Amethyst Atelier with one coat of Sally Hansen HD DVD.

I love the purple to blue shift on DVD!

Here is Nfu-Oh 569. I did three coats. It was slightly annoying in application, but completely worth it and non-problematic in the end (if that makes any sense)!

Yummy, awesome almost black, luscious green jelly!

And here is Lippmann Lady Sings the Blues. I did two sort of thick coats.

I put it over Essence Pool Party (one coat, I think), which was completely unnecessary!! I had no idea it would be so opaque on its own.

I think the pictures really turned out terrific. It reminds me of blue jeans, but in a sexy, edgy, chunky-glitter-interpretation kind of way!

Kind of like blue jeans and asphalt?! Yeah. Love it.

Now for some more chunky blue glitter fabulousness, Lippmann Across the Universe!

Love, love, love this one, too, and adore the photos. :)

I also did two thick-ish coats of this one.

It didn't wear too well on me and was chippy by the end of the first day. I freaking loved it so much that I applied it again, as a repeat, and wore for another day or so after, in a row!

Across the Universe is the first ever color I've loved so much that I wore twice straight in a row. I also completely forgive it for not wearing well, because it's so freaking gorgeous and makes me really happy when I have it on. Next time I wear it I think I will try it over something similar. Maybe it will hold on better that way!
