You've probably never seen this here before...

 a sheer polish with VNL!

 I don't even know what possessed me.  This is three coats of the new Revlon ColorStay Calla Lily by itself.

 Then I added two coats of Lynnderella's Snow Angel.

 The light is very warm here, but also I feel self-conscious that my nails look stained.

 I do like how it's sort of fresh, clean, and lacy looking.

 Here are pictures indoors, where the light is cooler.

Sadly, this mani did not last long at all (we're talking a few hours) and I totally blame the Revlon ColorStay base coat because that's about the only suspect thing that I used.

 I have too many pictures.  Consider yourselves warned!  :)

 This is two coats of Revlon ColorStay Rain Forest.  No top coat.

 Application wasn't great - I don't love the brush and the formula was a little thick.

 I forgive it, though, because it's so freaking gorgeous!

 Check out all the yummy glass-flecked shimmah.

 I found it at CVS with other new ColorStay polishes.  I was lucky enough to get them buy one get one half off, too.

 This was my Christmas mani, so I added some gold glitter to pep it up.

 I used one coat of Inglot 207 over top.

 I put a coat of Revlon's ColorStay top coat over it all, and then a coat of the new Sally Hansen Diamond Flash.

 The Diamond Flash dries to the touch pretty quickly, but does seem to take a while to completely dry on me (longer than I like).  I also got a few bubbles, which is never good!

 I will say that once everything was completely and totally dry, it was rock solid!

 I have to thank my online nail polish buddies for helping me come up with this combination.  I was feeling overwhelmed with choices, and they recommended this one.

 What did you wear for Christmas?  I have to say that I'm particularly fond of my pedicure combo - it's Zoya Ivanka topped with Diamond Cosmetics Chunky Red Glitter.  It's so festive and reminds me of elves.  :D

As I'm sure you probably know, I'm not a big swatcher. I kind of hate swatching. But I received some encouragement from my friends on MUA and busted a move earlier this afternoon! I swatched the new Revlon scented Fizz polishes. All are shown at three coats with no top coat.

From left to right: Pineapple Fizz, Orange Fizz, Grapefruit Fizz, and Watermelon Fizz.

My nails are stained, which sucks. I would totally wear these sheer if they weren't stained! At any rate, I can see these being great for layering and also some would be fine on their own with three or four coats, probably.

From left to right: Colada Fizz (the bottle looks baby blue), Apple-tini Fizz, Mint Fizz, and Grape Fizz.

Mint is quite opaque, actually. It also stains like crazy!

Grape might be my favorite, but I really do like them all. The glass-flecked shimmer is so lovely and almost looks like wee little flakies!

I wish I could tell you more about the scents but I have quite the head cold right now. :( In the swatching process I recall generally fruitiness and I do believe I smelled the mint. That's about all I know. I scratched the stickers on the bottles in the store and actually liked how they all smelled. Scented polish is a double-edged sword for me. I very much enjoy the novelty but also find that I get annoyed by the smell at the same time!

I'd never used it before, but I tried China Glaze Emerald Sparkle for the first time two days ago.

Here it is at just two coats.

Gorgeous! Stunning!

I decided to top it with Revlon Slipper.

Slipper has little silver and red glitter as well as large silver holographic hex glitter.

I did not bother with the hex glitter at all, which is why there are only a couple specks of it on my nails! It just didn't want to come out of the bottle.

I counted the hex glitters on all ten of my nails and there were literally eight.

I still really like how it turned out.

It looks a bit like a classic, simple Christmas Tree, I think.

Have you done lots of red and green combinations this season?

Weirdly, I feel a little burned out on reds and greens right now, at this point. I'm not sure if I'll be wearing either for Christmas day!

This manicure started with two coats of Maybelline Gray-T Glamour. I have to say, the brush on this polish is very odd. It's cut sort of at an angle, but almost looking like it was accidental!

I have some older Maybellines and they have seemingly normal brushes, so it was a little unsettling - not to mention rather difficult for me to use! In any case, I added a coat of Revlon's Belle.

I think this is a very pretty combination and I loved how it turned out. Unfortunately for me, it started chipping and peeling within 24 hours! No go, Captain!

Okay, so these pictures make me sad because I had a smudge on my camera lens but did not realize it for another mani or two! Not cool. Also embarrassing. I'm hoping you can either ignore the smudginess or pretend that it's trendy and artsy.

I used two coats (but maybe three, I'm not sure) of Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Ocean View, topped with a coat each of Pure Ice Busted and Revlon Galaxy.

As you can see, Busted is super gorgeous and is definitely good to have for layering. These polishes are cheap at Walmart.

I had some shrinkage at the tips...which is always awesome. Now, I love, love, love Galaxy. It's my first black glitter. I think it's safe to say that it has started a potential black glitter obsession. That being said, I'm not nuts about this combo, over all.

Just for fun, I had to include this picture of Georgia out sunbathing.

Sid snapped this pic of her being a goof ball and laying in the pool raft. Doesn't she look so relaxed? She loves to go out and sunbathe on the patio, nearly every day, sometimes multiple times a day. Normally she just lays right on the concrete, but I guess she took a fancy to the little float. This is one of those pictures that will just always make me smile. I hope it makes you smile, too!
