Today I started my mani with two coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Fortissimo.

 It's a really lovely dark brown with a hint of gray coolness to it.

 Fortissimo reminds me of delicious, creamy CHOCOLATE!

 I don't use my RBLs too often, but whenever I do I am reminded of how terrific the formula and application is.  I like the smaller brush, too.

 Here I've added a coat of Sephora by OPI Don't be Eggnog-ious.

 I was playing with the light in these pictures.

 Don't be Eggnog-ious is a monotone orange/copper glitter with large hexograms and smallish - well, I don't what they are.  I think they are squares, but I can't tell for sure!

 The glitter spread itself pretty well, I have to say.

 I did a little smooshing things around to try and get the glitters to look as even as possible, but not too much.

 And I see that there is a rather giant clump of hexograms on my ring finger...ha!  Oh well.

 It looks fine, of course, in person.  :)

I really love them.  The red and purple are so stunning, as well.  I confess that this feels a little "simple" after so many wonderful Lynnderella glitter polishes.  But simple can be good, too!

 Here is three coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Pizzicato.

 It looks like a pale, pink, glass-flecked shimmer in the sun.

 I found that in most types of lighting it looked much more lilac or lavender on me.

 It's a very pretty, delicate sort of look.  Oh!  And I cut my nails shorter just because!  I'm happy to say that it wasn't because of a break or tear or anything bad.  I just wanted them shorter.  :)  It's a nice change for me.

 I found the formula ever so slightly difficult to work with.  It got kind of thick on me, and I felt that it looked a tad streaky in places (see picture below).

I tried this mani using Butter London's base and top coats.  Big mistake!  I smudged the bejeebus out of my pinky nail, somehow, five freaking hours after I had applied everything!  I was oh so sad.  I will probably give them a try again, later, using Butter London polishes, but I have to tell you I'm slightly terrified at this point.

This is the second "conservative" color I chose to wear for a challenge on MUA. It's not super duper conservative, but it does lack any glitter or shimmer, and I imagine it would be office appropriate. I suppose that all depends on your job, though, huh?

Four coats of Rescue Beauty Lounge Starfish Patrick. For the record, I am a big SpongeBob SquarePants fan. You must also know that my dear uncle is an even bigger fan! I think he is SpongeBob's #1 fan, in fact. Shout out to Steve! :) He has a really great site here.

I think it would be really cool to wear this more sheer, but alas, I cannot because my nails are stained.

I do really like how it turned out! It's very pretty, very smooth, and super shiny.

This last picture is taken in the warm, setting sun. That's why it looks crazy orange! It doesn't look like this in real life at all. I just included it to be random.

This was my first time using RBL Teal, a polish loved by many. It applied flawlessly, and if my memory serves me, I think I did just one coat of it!

I put a coat of $OPI Club Scene Queen over top.

Club Scene Queen is a really shimmery, pretty polish that is rather sheer and methinks, just perfect for putting on top of lots of different colors!

My guess is that you could get a decent opacity with Club Scene Queen by doing three to four coats of it by itself. I have a feeling that the over all color would probably look a little smokier and less intensely blue/teal on its own.

Friends! It's good to be posting again! I've been sick for over a week now! My husband says he thinks I have H1N1. Oh yuck! I'm sitting here trying to hack up a lung as I type. The worst of it is (hopefully!) over now, though, so I figured it is high time to start showing you pictures of my latest creations. :)

I've been itching to 'Nad for quite some time now, so I finally made it happen about two weeks ago. I have to admit, I was nervous that I had forgotten how.

I started with Rescue Beauty Lounge Grunge. It applied so perfectly in just two coats. It went on very light and nude but ended up drying a bit darker.

Then I used China Glaze Joy and Konad plate m63 to stamp on the design. That little blue guy I'm holding is my fab kitty nail scrubber. I got him at this super way cool store in NYC called Pylones. Everything in there is tragically cute!!

I was so pleased with how this turned out! It was relatively easy for me, too! Hip, hip, hooray!

I still got it, baby!

I really love this design pattern. It's so flowy and free.

If you haven't tried stamping yet, I highly recommend it! It's so much fun and really takes your manicure to a whole new level of gorgeous.

I think I've got the 'Nad bug now, for sure, so you'll be seeing more in the future.

I have a few pictures of RBL Mismas for you. It is a supa fly purple creme! I think this was two coats.

I believe the photos portray the color pretty accurately. It reads a hair less blue in real life.

If you haven't had the pleasure of using RBL cremes, let me tell you, they are something! Beautifully pigmented, creamy, easy to work with, smooth, and cooperative. :)

Hello and Happy Weekend to you!  I went to an international cat show this afternoon and it was pretty cool!  My favorites are the Siberians, Maine Coons, and Norwegian Forest Cats.  I hope we can get kitties soon.

I didn't get to change my polish too often this past week because I worked so much.  Thankfully, the mani you are about to see lasted unusually long and beautifully on me.  Hooray for the little things!  Here is Sephora by OPI (or $OPI, for short) Dark Room.  This has been a somewhat controversial polish amongst the bloggers and MUAers due to it's listed description online and it's actual appearance.  Also, it seems the appearance is subjective or moody or something!

I REALLY like this and I'll tell you why.  The application was amazing for me.  Sometimes dark creams can be a pain in the rear and this one was oh so easy.  I also like the color.  It's ambiguous and mysterious.  It certainly doesn't fit my mood on a regular basis, but I think it's pretty sweet.

I added a coat of Nfu-Oh 60 and this is what I got.

The ever so slight twinge of green-tealness is virtually gone.  

No problemo, though, as it is gorgeous to behold.

Last night I was finally able to redo my nails.  I have been wanting to try my Scrangie polish for a while and it seemed the perfect color to match my current mood.  

Often I will only do two coats.  This one needs three, in my opinion, so I did three here.  Oh, and it's by Rescue Beauty Lounge, if you didn't know.  

If you don't know anything about Scrangie then feel free to leave an inquisitive comment.  I'm pretty sure most of you do.  I love, love, love her color and am so very pleased with it.  I'm not sure I could have come up with a more dream-worthy color myself!  :D

The application was excellent.  I had no problems at all.

The colors in it remind me of another polish dear to my heart, OPI DS Royal.  Mmmm.

I bought some Biotin the other day and am giving it a go!  I will be uber excited if it helps my nails to be stronger and less peely.  Also, I would love it if they grow faster.  Mwah!
