I did it. I'm crazy. I bought Orly Space Cadet AND Hard Candy Beetle. They are exactly the same!

No, I did not buy MAC Mean and Green....but I won't lie, I was tempted.

Beetle was relatively cheap, and I like HC's formula, so it seemed like a good idea.

(Despite the fact that I already bought a bloody back-up of Space Cadet!)

Needless to say, I adore this color. I used three coats here.

The application was perfect on this one and I actually think it may have gone a little better here than it did with Space Cadet (I seem to recall maybe having some slight bubbling).

This color is so eye-catching and unique, in the realm of nail polish.

I actually wore this for my first ever jury duty!

I did get selected for an actual jury, but the case was acquitted very quickly. It was kind of a let down in a way, but over all I suppose I lucked out because I got paid for a short day!

I don't think anyone at the Court House noticed my awesome nails...not that they told me.

But my Mom did. We got lunch together after. :)

Do you have a preference for any one of the three versions of this color?

Beetle is a really good find! I would love to see more colors come out like this one.

Here is your next dose of candy, Hard Candy, that is. To start with I used Mr. Right, a very rich and glossy navy. This is two coats.

I applied a coat of Sugar Daddy on top. It's a lovely pinky gold shimmer. I decided to thin it a little right off the bat because judging on the other HCs I thought it might be a smidge thick and look streaky over top another polish. Whether or not it was needed, I'll never know. In any case, it layered beautifully!

The result was hard to describe, hard to capture, but utterly divine. I was looking at my fingertips way more than usual.

It had a quality to it that made it almost duochrome, and I think it's just the way the shimmer read on top of the navy, but so cool! Purple, pink, gold goodness.

Also, this reminded me a little of the elusive Sally Hansen HD Opulent Cloud, which I am yet to find. I'm not sure if it actually looks like Opulent Cloud (maybe a little) or more just OC was on my brain heavily at the time and I decided it did because I wanted it to! Either way, a win in my book. Opulent Cloud, I will find you and you will be mine.

Behold my first ever matte finish mani! I used one coat of Hard Candy Frenzy (it was opaque and perfect), one coat of Hard Candy Sugar Daddy, and then did a Konad with m61 and Special Polish in Dark Purple, finishing with a coat of China Glaze Matte Magic! Please disregard the blue skin - ha ha!

This design transfers and stamps so easily for me - hooray! My only challenge is in getting the placement and pressure right, hence some waviness. But boy it's nice to have a stamp that is super easy to work with. Oh, and I never thought I could get into the matte finish craze, but I guess I was wrong. I like how it looks over shimmahs! And it's just kind of fun and different.
