I'm calling this my first Christmas mani of the year!
I started with two coats of NYX Girls Alaskan Wild, which is what you are seeing here.
It's one of those jelly-like cremes, or squishy cremes, or whatever you want to call them.
The color is beautiful and the application was easy.
Then I added a coat of Lynnderella's Funny Money.
I just received my latest order last night and it definitely felt like Christmas opening that package!!
I used the same method as with my previous Mercurial mani for my top coating: Gelous, Cult Nails' top coat, and Seche Vite.
Funny Money is rich with green, black, and little bursts of color (red, purple, blue, and gold).
I debated my base color long and hard, as usual, because while I wanted to use black, I also did not want the glorious black glitters to get lost in the mix!
I'm pretty happy with the end result. It's majorly green, yet majorly gorgeous.
Funny Money is made with bergamot oil. So far I have detected a very slight, delicate scent. Then again, with all the top coats, I don't expect to be smelling much bergamot. (Right at this moment all I can smell is the eucalyptus oil I have on my cuticles!)
It's unintentionally, yet marvelously reminiscent of a beautiful Christmas tree, don't you think? If you haven't heard of Lynnderella polishes, you can learn more at her blog here.
